What can I expect?

We anticipate that you have questions you want answered before you begin. The following information is to help you understand the process you’re about to undertake and what you can expect.

How will COMPLETING THE COR ORGANIZATION SELF ASSESSMENT help me and my organization?

Establishing an effective and comprehensive Safety Management System is a huge undertaking whether you will be persuing a COR review or not. By answering the 90+ questions you will receive immediate feedback on your organizations readiness for a COR review on the 9 areas of an effective Safety Management System saving you money and time.

Who should complete the COR Organization Self Assessment?

The person responsible for overseeing the Safety Management System in your organization should be completing this questionnaire.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO COMPLETE THE COR ORGANIZATION SELF ASSESSMENT?

There are over 90 questions in total and depending on how well you know your current Safety Management System and where to locate the answers the time could vary from 45 minutes to days.

It's difficult for me to set aside large blocks of uninterrupted time. What if I don't finish all the questions?

We know how busy you are and depending on your role you may be coordinating the safety program off of the side of your desk. The questionnaire is designed so you may stop and exit at any time and when you log back in you will be prompted to return to where you left off.

Why do I have to set up an account with a user name and my contact information?

Creating a Login allows you to work on the questions when you have time. The system will save your work to date so when you log back in you can continue where you left off.
Please be assured that your privacy is important to us and that at no time will we be viewing your results. The only information we will be reviewing and gathering is:
- The name of your organization, address and size
- The safety contact person and contact information

What should I do if I have difficulty or need help?
